Our Oriental Motor Japan compact AC induction, reversible, electromagnetic brake, torque, clutch and brake, low-speed synchronous, watertight dust-resistant and synchronous motors. Their V Series AC induction motors feature frame sizes from 60 mm to 110 mm output power from 6 W (1/125 HP) to 200 W (1/4 HP), and rated torque from 0.16 Nm to 190 Nm.
Optimized for inverter combination (VFDs), 200 W (¼ hp) KIIS Series 3-phase AC motor features hypoid right angle gearhead that produces up to 190 Nm. of permissible torque and, along with terminal box, provides IP66 protection. High-efficiency (77.8%) unit has fan-less motor design with optimized steel laminates and wind space factor. Hollow or solid shaft is available in L or R side orientations, and optional SOT7A torque arm accessory can aid assembly and improve life of gearhead.

Essence offers Oriental Motor Japan is proud to introduce our new 200 watt (1/4 HP) KIIS Series three-phase standard AC motor with hypoid gear and terminal box.
The new 200 W (1/4 HP) motor joins the 60 W (1/12 HP) and 100 W (1/8 HP) family and continues the KIIS Series advantages and with an all new motor design, focusing on high efficiency (77.8% vs. 70.3% BH Series) and optimized for inverter combination (VFDs). The new standard hypoid right angle gearhead is capable of producing up to 1680 lb-in (190 N∙m) of permissible torque and along with the new terminal box, provides IP66 protection. All KIIS Series feature a fan-less motor due to a high efficiency design using optimally designed steel laminates and increased wind space factor, and is good for dusty or dirty environments or areas that require minimum noise generation.
The new KIIS Series AC motor 200 W (1/4 HP) motor is available with the SOT7A torque arm, an optional accessory that can aid with the assembly and improve the life of the gearhead. Ideal for hollow shaft type.

Super MAX® Geared Motor
Compared to the previous reduction gears, vibration and noise is reduced significantly. Materials used for making gears are SCM 420 and SM45C. Also carburizing, high frequency heat treatment and polishing are performed to improve precision. The BMU Series is designed for compactness, high power and high efficiency an optimal magnetic design and high-performance material enable the new brushless motor stator plate to have a thickness of just 11.2 mm (7/16 in.). This slimness achieves a highly efficient power unit that outputs 400 W (1/6 HP). Compared with the conventional brushless motor of the same output power, the stator plate thickness is only half of the conventional one [For motors with a frame size of 90 mm (3.54 in.)].
